Welcome Cecilia Gutierrez-Yapur, CBA's newest Program Coordinator!
CBA is pleased to announce a new program and coordinator!
Cecilia Gutierrez Yapur began in October as CBA’s Latinx Empowerment and Advocacy Program Coordinator. Cecilia brings leadership experience, coordination skills, and project development to a program that will reach folks who come from all over Latin America. After working on international projects, Cecilia’s cultural comprehension will help immensely with the Latinx Empowerment and Advocacy Program. She will be a full-time Program Coordinator to develop a walk-in service program specific to Spanish speakers. Her role will include working with the Director of Programs to develop a program budget, workplan, and strategies for the program. Cecilia’s potential projects include Spanish Empower, neighborhood outreach, community support in translation and finding resources in the community for members, and organizing around issues facing the community.
Cecilia earned her B.S. in Electronic Engineering from the Universidad de Tucuman in Tucuman, Argentina, and since then has had an extensive career in multinational consumer goods. At Unilever, she coordinated the development of new project ideas to increase sales profits while managing and supervising teams of all different backgrounds and nationalities. In recent years, she has held several leadership positions in her community, such as FIRST robotics coach and mentor, Parish and family life Chairwoman for Our Lady of Perpetual Help Church, Girl Scouts Leader, and Chairperson for the Parent Teacher Organization at her children’s schools.
CBA is thrilled to have Cecilia join us, bringing with her years of experience and fluency in three languages!
